Naureen attended Tulane University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English. Thereafter, Naureen received her Juris Doctor from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. While in law school and after graduation, she specialized in medical malpractice defense. She then spent eight years practicing general insurance defense before transitioning back into medical malpractice defense. She has tried numerous civil cases throughout the State of Oklahoma.
Naureen is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and she is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma. Naureen is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
She is a past President of the Robert J. Turner Inn of Court and currently serves on the Executive Committee. This Inn is an Oklahoma City association of federal and state judges, master lawyers, less experienced lawyers, students, and law professors modeled after the English Inns of Court who together constitute a chapter of the national American Inns. The Inn provides Continuing Legal Education each month for the Inn members. The Inn also holds an annual toy drive for Toys for Tots and a donation drive for Cavett Kids which is a summer camp for terminally ill children.
Naureen is a member of the Education Committee of the Collaborative for Accountability and Improvement Attorney Alliance. The Collaborative for Accountability and Improvement is a network of healthcare leaders, attorneys, insurers, patient advocates and researchers who pioneered the earliest communication resolution programs (CRPs) in the United States. CRPs are a principled, comprehensive, and systematic approach for responding to unintended patient harm.
She was a Co-Chair and Co-Emcee of the 2021 Starlight Ball. In support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Starlight Ball helps raise funds for the advancement of pediatric research, education, and clinical care at the Oklahoma Health Center. She is also on the Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
Naureen is involved in her daughter’s school, Casady School. She is the Treasurer of her class, Class of 2031. She is also on the Casady Alumni Community Team. This team helps internally evaluate the current state of the school and the hopes and goals of the community.
Naureen lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Jeff, and their one and only child, Hannah.
