Jewel Porter is from Fort Worth, Texas, and earned her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in May 2025. During law school, she served as President of the Immigration Legal Society in 2023 and 2024 and was active in the Finding Innocence Through Exoneration (FITE) Club, where she focused on wrongful convictions and post-conviction remedies. Jewel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma in 2019, where she was named to the Dean’s List.

Jewel began her legal career with Dewberry & Hubbard as a legal intern in 2024, conducting research, drafting pleadings and motions, and assisting with trial preparation. She also gained experience at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Innocence Project, and the Texas Equal Access Fund, where she worked with family law, housing, and policy advocacy matters. Her practice now focuses on civil litigation, including medical malpractice defense and insurance cases.

Outside the office, Jewel enjoys Pilates, attending concerts, and spending time with her black cat, Salem.
